If you're employed via PEO or VE, you are directly employed by Omnipresent's client, the company you work for. For this reason, employees hired via PEO/VE must follow a different resignation process outside of the OmniPlatform.

Before you start:

  • You must be a PEO/VE employee to use this process. If you're not sure, ask our Support team!

  • Check your contract for information about your notice period, holidays, etc.

  • Have a note of the days of leave you have taken.

  • If you have any questions before you start the process, reach out to help@omnipresent.com.

How to resign as a PEO/VE employee:

  1. Speak to your legal employer directly and to inform them of the details of your resignation.

  2. Follow the internal HR processes required by your employer.

Instruct your line manager to inform Omnipresent of the resignation via email to services@omnipresent.com directly.

Next steps as a manager of a PEO/VE employee:

Once you have been informed by an employee of their resignation, please inform Omnipresent of the resignation via email to help@omnipresent.com directly and include:

  • Last working day of the employee.

  • Date the employee should be paid until.

  • How much holiday/vacation was taken? Please let us know how many days are unused or overtaken from your HRIS.

  • Are there any additional payments to be made to the employee? (e.g commission/bonus/variable/severance payments)

  • Expenses: Are there any expenses or additions due or owed? All expenses must be submitted and approved by the 6th of the calendar month for them to be processed in the same month’s payroll. Any expenses approved after this time will be paid in the following month, and a 'Management Fee' will be charged.

We would like to remind you that as your payroll service provider, our role is to manage payroll and related tasks. As our clients, you are the legal employer of your employees via PEO/VE and it is your responsibility to handle the offboarding process including documentation.

Please note: We recommend planning for resignations 30 days in advance. Allowing 30 days ensures Omnipresent have a smooth payroll transition.

Equipment return: Please know that this is not something we can help facilitate in the event the employee was issued equipment. This will need to be organized independently of Omnipresent.
