🌴 Here's what to do for holiday/vacation

Use your internal HR systems for annual leave requests (Please speak to your Line Manager for assistance). Once the holiday/vacation time is approved, you must register your time off in the “Time Off” tab of your OmniPlatform profile for payroll purposes.

🌍 Wondering about your public holidays?

You should always follow the public holidays of the country you're employed in, so please take those days off and rest! Please ensure you always give a heads-up to your line manager in case they're located in a different country.

🤒 Here’s what to do if you’re feeling unwell

In Sweden, you are entitled to take sick leave for the duration necessary as certified by a medical professional. For the initial 14 days of your sick leave, you will receive 80% of your salary, which is paid by your employer. From the 15th day onwards, sickness benefits will be provided by Försäkringskassan based on your income. During your leave, your job is protected, ensuring you can return to your previous or an equivalent position with the same pay and benefits once you're well.

To apply for sick leave, immediately notify your manager about your illness and the start date of your leave. Add your sick leave to the OmniPlatform to ensure it's visible to our team for accurate payroll processing. If your sick leave extends beyond 7 days, you must submit a medical certificate from your doctor detailing your illness and the expected duration of your leave. Additionally, provide a formal written notification, such as a letter or email to help@omnipresent.com indicating your inability to work due to illness, along with the medical certificate.

From the 15th day of your sick leave, you need to apply for sickness benefits through Försäkringskassan. Visit their website, log in with your BankID, and complete the application form, providing personal details, employment information, illness details from your medical certificate, and bank account information. Försäkringskassan may contact you or your doctor for additional information, so ensure your contact details are up-to-date and respond promptly. Once approved, benefits will be disbursed directly to your bank account. Please ensure that all steps are completed timely to facilitate a smooth transition into your sick leave. If you have any questions or need further assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to us at help@omnipresent.com.

🔁Annual leave carryover

Swedish employees have a holiday year running from January to December. This means that you must take (as legally required) ALL holidays by 31st December, with 5 days allowed to be carried over to the next holiday year (31st December of the following year).

👓Eye exams and VDU glasses

In Sweden, employees entitled to eyewear for work can get reimbursed by their employer. First, confirm with your employer about the existing policy and budget for visual display unit (VDU) glasses. Next, submit the receipts for your eye exam and glasses via the OmniPlatform, adhering to the designated policy. The reimbursement will be processed and included in your next salary payment. Ensure to keep copies of all submissions for your records.

🍼Here's what to do for parental leave

Submit your time off in the OmniPlatform with a note of "Parental leave" and any other arrangements between you and your company which we need to be aware of to process your salary accurately. During this time your salary will be paid by the Försäkringskassan. You will need to register and apply for parental benefits through Försäkringskassan. They manage the disbursement of these benefits, and you can apply directly on their website.
