The requirements for the registration proof depend on the type of partnership.

Commercial partnerships
Gewerbeschein from the Common Register Portal, one per partner.

If the Gewerbeschein is dated within the last 3 months, it can be used on its own.

If it is older, then provide also one of the following:
​
Steuerliche Bescheinigung requested from the tax office, issued in the name of the partnership, and not older than 3 months
Steuernummer Zuteilungsbrief provided by the tax office at founding – can only be used if not older than 3 months
Non-commercial partnerships
Provide one of the following:

Steuerliche Bescheinigung requested from the tax office, issued in the name of the partnership, and not older than 3 months
Steuernummer Zuteilungsbrief provided by the tax office at founding – can only be used if not older than 3 months.
For non-commercial partnerships only, if, exceptionally, neither the Steuerliche Bescheinigung nor Steuernummer Zuteilungsbrief are available, the Gewerbeschein can be dated older than 3 months.
