Download our United States Fact Sheet for our guide to hiring in the United States.

Here are some quick facts to get you started:
โ€‹
โ€‹Employment in the US: Involves average employer costs and termination is simple.

Onboarding: The onboarding process typically takes around 13 days.

Leave: There is no minimum number of paid holiday days, however there are 12 public holidays in the US.

Payroll & Tax: The payroll cycle is fortnightly.

You can use the OmniAtlas for more information and to compare hiring in different countries.

Benefits in the US: In the United States, all employees (who work 30+ hours a week) are eligible for benefits.

Please note: The benefits selection is the sole responsibility of the Employee to select a plan of their choice. The cost of the benefits is done as a deduction from the Employee's paycheck and as such, they are responsible for their own selections.

The cost for the employer will be always the same regardless of the plan the employee selects, but the cost will increase depending on the coverage level (please see the attached document for additional details).
